While studying architecture, Sam apprenticed for an architectural designer in Los Angeles. While working on a project for a collector of fine furniture, Sam immersed himself in the works of Jean Prouvé, Jean Royère, Charlotte Perriand, and Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann. As he designed the architectural details of a home built around these masterworks, he realized how rare it is, amid today’s mass production, to find furniture that even complements or embodies the same quality, craft, and design integrity as 75 years ago.
His made-to-order collection of furniture is crafted entirely in America from the highest-quality materials, combining architectural discipline with a commitment to craft. Each design reflects a commitment to detail and a belief that furniture should be as lasting and meaningful as the architecture it inhabits.
